What is Money?

We are going into the era of financial transactions every day.

Money comes in form of salary and other sources of income and Money is going out in form of recurring payments, credit card bills, phone bills, internet bills, Car & house payments, insurance payments, & all other things which we needed for our survival in this world.

After knowing all about these things still, the answer is awaited “What is Money”

An earlier Economist said that “Money is the mean of Exchange”

That is a good answer “Money is the mean of Exchange” but sometimes this quote is not 100% true.

The latest example in our country is demonetization. The value of Rs 500/- and 1000/- currency have lost their value and also have lost their meaning of Exchange for some days.

The research is continue and a new definition comes into the picture “Money is mean of exchange only when both parties agree on its value”

This answer is quite good for the money but not always.

 “Money has its store value”

It’s meaning that you can save money for many days and spend it on another day. This is true about money that money has store value but it’s not 100% right in many circumstances.

We can store money but what happens when the market burst, the government fails, and during a recession period? The store values of money disappear overnight.  It’s happened many times in the world.

Often we said that “Money is status”

Money is also having other qualities like reputation, and social appearance, you can favor yourself and win the election with the power of money.

But there are so many examples available like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and King Martin Luther. They had good status, and a good reputation, and win the country with their own integrity and without Money.

The real answer to “What is Money” is that money is something that you trade your life’s energy for that. You sell your precious life for just man-made pieces of paper.

The real asset of Mankind is their time and their energy. Yes, it’s true that we need money for our survival. God gives us sufficient time to earn by selling our life’s energy.

We need a balance of life and also focus on our real treasure that is our family, our friends, our contribution to our society, playing with children & knowing about the real meaning of life.

Thinks twice that life is not for the accumulation of more stuff and materialistic things.

We should also focus on our energy for:

§  Meaning of life

§  Relationship with others

§  Happiness towards yourself

§  Contribution to you community

§  Contribution to your world

§  Achieving of your inner peace

The accumulation of money is infinite but life’s energy is not infinte.
